“If you rest, you rust.” ~Helen Hayes.
In lieu of my last post, I thought I’d clarify something based on a couple private comments I received. I definitely am not taking a rest. There are lots of things I’m continuing to do. My shoulder is really affecting certain things, one of them being the use of my arm at the computer. But I can still iron (I use the other hand), wash dishes, do laundry, cook, dust, vacuum, dog walk, catch up on filing, and a multitude of other chores. I’m not resting 🙂 but simply drastically reducing time at the computer and avoiding heavy lifting. 🙂
And here is a photo of one of my dogs, with a singular focus, should you be interested in seeing him up close and personal.

Photographs Never Forget!
Rust makes a fine macro. I particularly like the bottom one because of the hues.
Ironing should be the first thing to go. Enjoying you blog.
Exquisite details!! I always love ‘rusty’ images!!!
Sorry about your shoulder, Diane! Get well soon. Both of these rusty metal shots are really nice. I especially like that old rake head on the warm wood.
I LOVE the rust! Something about rust – perhaps seeing something used/abused, seems somehow alive. Beautiful!
I like the color and textures back of the rake. Nice rust color. The wavy shot with the narrow band of focus is a good example of how focus directs our attention and seeing.
I wish you all the best in getting that shoulder well. Long-term pain is a bummer!
