“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” ~Edgar Degas
Some things can be so exciting.
{dogs at play :: sometimes blurry is okay}
I’m having a busy week but got so excited about something I discovered recently that I was compelled to do a quick post simply to share this with you too. You know how the placement of mirrors is so important in our homes? Well what about using them outdoors too? Here is one of the best ideas I have ever come across for art in the garden: Mirrors on Easels in the Landscape. Check it out — is that not a clever and beautiful idea? I love that one so much I’m considering implementing it in my yard. The only thing I need to figure out is how to secure the easel plus the mirror on that easel so my dogs don’t knock it over and get hurt when they’re wrestling or chasing one another.
And if that’s not exciting enough, how about this amazing intricate work of art: Cut-Away Leaf Art.
“The artist’s world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep.” ~Paul Strand
Such a fun shot of dogs have so much fun, I could sit and watch dogs play all day 🙂
I love collossal, I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving
Oh, my good heavens the mirror idea is simply delicious. I simply must try this in some capacity some day, some where. Here, perhaps when all the construction is over and I’ve some pretty landscaping in. I LOVE the placement of those mirrors in the gorgeous southwest! Thanks, dearie!
What lovely images in the mirror! Perfect paintings all framed and hanging in nature’s gallery.
Saw this on Facebook and loved it!
Wow! The mirror “art” is amazing! What a brilliant idea! Do you have a fence or some sort of structure you could attach a mirror to in your yard? It would be cool if you could hang the mirror from some sort of swivel mechanism so you could move the mirror around and change the art whenever the mood hits 🙂
The leaf art is very cool too – love the caterpillar 🙂
