The moment she handed me the envelope, I could barely contain the excitement. The anticipation of opening the envelope, having to wait until after I was out of the store, made me feel giddy. That’s how excited I feel every time I have photographs printed.

After my son and granddaughters came to visit for a few days, I knew I’d be selecting my favourite photos taken while they were here for producing a photo book. The photo book has been created, ordered, and will soon be on its way. Once it arrives I already know the feelings of excitement that will again percolate as I flip through the pages of photos, then again when I wrap it up to send to my son and his girls so they have a tangible keepsake of their time here.

Those photos I picked up in the envelope? Those were some of the individual photos from that same trip I had printed for sharing with close family members who have been asking if I had any recent photos.

I’ll leave you with one of my own quotes: “Every photo you get printed, is a memory preserved for generations.” – Diane Schuller

Wishing you all a week filled with precious moments. And perhaps taking some time to select a few of your favourite photographs and have them printed.

  1. Diane, I still print every photo off my phone. I love to look at photographs, so do my kids. So glad I have all the pictures I do.

  2. Oh, I needed this prod. I have been terrible about printing out photos and one day they will all be lost somewhere on a hard drive that is so old it won’t open any longer. BUT I did print some favorites from our family lake time and have been sending one or two along to little granddaughters so they will get come mail. And some memories.
